At Canning Vale Vet, we offer a custom-built grooming and hydrobath facility operated by an experienced groomer who is also our head veterinary nurse. This allows us to combine professional grooming with a strong focus on your pet’s overall health and wellbeing.
Regular grooming plays an important role in maintaining your pet’s comfort and preventing common issues such as matting, skin irritation, and external parasites. Matted fur can cause discomfort and skin infections, while long coats may trap grass seeds that can penetrate the skin and lead to painful abscesses. Routine grooming also helps reduce the risk of ear infections caused by excess hair and debris, and can minimise hair ingestion in cats that may contribute to hairballs.
During each grooming visit, your pet receives a thorough check of their coat, skin, ears, and nails. We also monitor for signs of skin infections, ear issues, overgrown nails, or enlarged anal glands. If any concerns are identified, our groomer can consult directly with the veterinary team to ensure appropriate care and advice.
Our purpose-built hydrobath includes instant warm water to ensure a comfortable bathing experience. Whether your pet needs a routine wash, coat tidy, or ongoing grooming maintenance, our team is here to help keep them clean, healthy, and comfortable.
