At Canning Vale Vet, accurate diagnosis is an important part of providing the best possible care. Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform a wide range of blood, urine, and faecal tests with fast turnaround times, helping us identify illness and begin treatment without delay. These tests can provide valuable information about organ function, infection, inflammation, hormonal conditions, and overall health.

Our IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment enables us to run comprehensive blood profiles, including red and white blood cell counts and biochemical markers related to the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and other vital systems. We also perform urine testing to assess hydration, kidney function, and urinary tract health, along with faecal testing when investigating parasites or gastrointestinal issues.

Using our compound microscope, we can also evaluate skin and ear samples to help diagnose mites, yeast infections, and other common conditions. Where further investigation is required, we can collect samples such as fine needle aspirates from lumps or masses and send them to external laboratories for specialist interpretation.

By combining in-house testing with external laboratory support when needed, we’re able to provide timely, accurate diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans for your pet.
