Jannay is WA born and raised enthusiastic woman. She loves taking challenges in real life. Jannay worked several years in building industry. To pursue her passion towards animals, she enrolled in Vet nursing course in Feb 2024.  After graduating with Certificate IV in December 2024, Jannay joined our team in February 2025 as a qualified veterinary nurse. She has a special interest in surgeries. Jannay is a mum to 2 beautiful teenage daughters and a toddler. In her spare time, Jannay loves spending her time with her horse “Odin” a Percheron draught horse. She also owns 2 dogs, Duke, a German Shepherd, and Reaper, a Cane Corso.

Dr Blaikie graduated from Murdoch in 1994. Jut to fulfil his keen interest in small animal surgery Dr Blaikie passed his examination in 2018 to achieve the membership with the ANZCVS in small animal surgery. He routinely performs orthopaedic procedures such as TTO, de-Angelis, MLP, FHO, fracture repair plating, and other soft tissue procedures such as BOAS correction, salivary sialocoeles, axial pattern skin flaps, urethrostomy, and ear canal ablations. Dr Blaikie has been performing orthopaedic surgeries at Canning Vale Vet since 2020 with 100% success rate.

Dr. Christine Wang joined Canning Vale Vet Hospital after completing her veterinary studies at Murdoch University in 2025. Originally from China, she began her journey in animal care with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior in the United States. Inspired by her deep love for animals and a strong interest in medicine, she went on to pursue a career in veterinary science.

Christine has a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery. She is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed additional training in soft tissue surgery and diagnostic ultrasound to broaden the scope of care she can offer her patients.

She is passionate about making high-quality veterinary care accessible and affordable for those who genuinely care about their pets. Christine believes every animal deserves compassionate care and that pets are family members who should be treated with the same respect and dedication.

She is proud to be part of a team that shares her commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient.

Dr Cassie Monoharan graduated from Murdoch University in 2016. Cassie spent 2 years in regional SA and 4 years in East Kimberley before moving back to Perth in early 2023. She is originally from Malaysia. She moved to Perth in 2008 at the age of 15. Cassie is happily married and a mother of 1 little boy and 2 fur babies [Moose and Pickle]. Her hobbies include gardening, travelling and bush walking.

She has been a part of Canning Vale Vet team since early 2024. She has been a very dedicated, hardworking and a fun person to work with.

Anna Komato

Anna was born in Australia and has Japanese background. Anna finished a university degree in accounting but realised it wasn’t for her. Anna has always loved animals which compelled her to enrol into vet nursing at SM TAFE. Anna joined Canning Vale Vet in Sept 2024 as trainee vet nurse, started casual work in October and became a permanent employee in March 2025. She loves anything to do with cats and she has a ragdoll cat called Milo. She is planning to add a maine coon cat into the family in the future.

Tamika (Puppy Class Trainer)

Tamika came to us as a newly graduated dog trainer in 2020. She strives and is very passionate to give the best advice and knowledge on raising your new family member as part of the family and guiding your pups to be the most confident and trained puppy.

Tamika came to us as a newly graduated dog trainer in 2020. She strives and is very passionate to give the best advice and knowledge on raising your new family member as part of the family and guiding your pups to be the most confident and trained puppy. She is currently studying multiple webinars through IMDT, as well as The Aggression in Dogs Master Course. She is looking at also completing the Fear Free Pet Professionals Dog Training Course, Low Stress, Handling Uni, Better Vet visits.

Tamika has her own dog training business Impeccable K9. Impeccable K9 runs group classes, training workshops, drop in classes, one on one training, walk and trains and puppy planning (preparing for your new addition to the family.) Tamika is also animal mad! She has 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 ferret, 2 birds and 15 reptiles. She also volunteers through SAFE metro helping with fostering pets in need.
